Letters received, 1783-1789.

The letters are addressed to Albanis de Beaumont in London and include a series of twenty three love letters of unknown authorship, four letters from Paul Wissell and three from Mouty, all concerning art-related business expenses; one letter from Prince William Frederick of Gloucester describing an examination at Trinity College; and several letters of a personal nature from unknown correspondents. Also included are a sheet of notes for mixing colors, two poems, one dedicated to the Duchess of Gloucester and a brief essay entitled "Lettres patentes pour les gouteux" (author not indicated).

British painter. Between 1787 and 1806 Albanis de Beaumont published views of the south of France, the Alps and Italy.
